Requirements.

To teach in the UK, you must:

  • Be legally entitled to work in the UK – have a valid UK visa. (We will arrange this for you*)
  • Be a fully qualified teacher (Bachelor degree, Diploma of Education or Higher Diploma in Education) from a recognised training institution.

Early Childhood teachers require a 3 or 4 year Bachelor degree. You will need to provide your original teaching qualification.

  • Have a valid passport.
  • Provide an updated CV with no gaps in employment including details for at least 2 referees who have seen you teach within the last 2 years.
  • Provide an updated original police clearance from your country of origin and from any other countries you have resided in for more than 6 months since the age of 18.
  • Obtain an enhanced CRB (UK police check). We will explain how to obtain one whilst still residing in your country of origin.
  • Provide 2 x passport sized photos
  • Have proof of your current address such as a bank statement or utility/phone bill

Visas.


We must ensure that you are eligible to work in the UK and have the correct working visa i.e. Youth Mobility Visa, Ancestry, Right of Abode, Dependent Spousal Visa, European Community Citizenship or a Work Permit.

We work very closely with a leading firm of UK Immigration Lawyers who are on hand to assist with all immigration related issues – If you require a work permit; our trusted partners are able to handle this and will liaise with both the sponsor (employer) and you ensuring all immigration matters are handled swiftly and professionally.


Qualifications.


As well as being eligible to work in the UK, overseas trained teachers (OTTs) will need to have a fully recognised teaching qualification and, in some instances, registration from their country of origin. T

Teachers from Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the USA, who are fully qualified and registered in their own country, can apply for UK Qualified Teachers Status (QTS) by completing the following form:

Starting the process.


You have already taken the first step towards teaching in the UK by registering with us.

Our friendly staff will guide you from the beginning of the recruitment process with advice on working visas, national curriculum, travel and accommodation, to processing all necessary documentation such as CVs, references, qualifications and police checks. Most importantly, our friendly consultants ensure that teachers arrive in the UK fully informed and ‘raring’ to go. What exciting times there are ahead for you!

In order for us to maintain high standards and to ensure that you stand out from the crowd, there are some basic requirements that we must satisfy.

If you haven’t already done so, please ensure you have provided us with the following:

* Photo ID
* A comprehensive and updated CV with no gaps in employment including details for at least 2 referees who have seen you teach within the last 2 years. – (We will not contact any referees without obtaining prior permission from you.)


What happens next?.


1) Our team will now begin the process of checking through your CV and ensuring that it meets the requirements.

2) If you have expressed interest in a specific vacancy hosted on our website, our team will verify your CV and liaise with you to ensure that we are in receipt of all required documents to enable us to fulfil our pre vetting procedures. We will also discuss the employer’s specific needs with you as well as providing you with advice and guidance in relation to securing the position prior to arranging a Skype interview between you and the employer.

3) If no specific post has been applied for, our team will begin the process of matching your skill set with our extensive vacancy database. Once we have established a suitable match, we will share all relevant information with you and discuss practical tips as well as expectations. Once the employer has confirmed suitability, we will then arrange for a Skype interview to take place.
